Perennial medicinal herb up to 1 m tall, dark green leaves, small, light pink flowers in multi-flowered rings at the top of the shoots. For medicinal purposes, flowering tops up to 30 cm long are used. Tincture and decoction are used as a sedative, cardiac, diaphoretic, laxative, and wound-healing agent.
