Perennial light-loving plant 20-100 cm tall. The stem is straight, ribbed, unbranched. The leaves are elongated, incised into numerous linear sharp lobes. Blooms from June to October. Flowers in small baskets, collected in a dense inflorescence. Yarrow-based preparations are widely used in traditional medicine. This medicinal plant has a tonic, analgesic, bactericidal, hemostatic and antispasmodic properties. Medicines based on it are used for diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, to normalize blood clotting and improve the metabolic process. The high content of bitter substances in yarrow makes it an excellent supplement for increasing appetite.
