Thyme is a perennial plant up to 35 cm tall. Lemon thyme is a natural hybrid of thyme and thyme. Purple flowers are collected in inflorescences on peduncles. Blooms in June - July. Prefers dry, sunny places, loose soils, easily does without fertilizers. In pot culture, it grows best in a sandy substrate. To prevent thyme from growing, it is pruned from all sides in spring. Thyme plantings are renewed every 3-4 years, using seedlings grown from seeds. Moderate watering, does not tolerate stagnant water. Frost-resistant. Can grow in one place for up to five years. Used as a seasoning and medicinal plant.
