A new hybrid of large butternut squash, created on the basis of the old French variety Sucrine du Berry from Berry (Val de Loire region), which was rediscovered in the 80s. It is a variety of pumpkin nut, winter squash, which can be stored for a long time (6-8 months). The fruit is pear-shaped, initially dark green, shining until it turns yellow, and finally orange when fully ripe 90 days after germination. The long-stemmed plant produces up to 5 fruits on the vine, weighing up to 10 kg. The "sweet berry" has a pulp of a very beautiful bright orange color, tender, soft and sweet, not floury. The taste has subtle notes of melon, cinnamon and vanilla! The fruits can be picked when they are not yet ripe, they ripen well during storage, without loss of quality. This pumpkin is perfect for gratin, mashed potatoes, soups, pies, custard, jam, and is excellent for frying and baking.
