Favorable for the main application to the soil and top dressing of agricultural crops. On lands with excess moisture, urea prevails over ammonium nitrate during irrigation, for the reason that urea nitrogen is better fixed by the soil and is less washed out with precipitation. It is used as the main fertilizer and in top dressing with urgent incorporation into the soil to prevent losses in the form of gaseous ammonia.
