A beautiful old winter variety with long (up to 30 cm) large, rich black roots of a flat elongated shape, with pointed tips. Good taste, white flesh is very dense, covered with a thin but strong, slightly rough skin. This radish is stored for a long time and reliably, until the summer, in the cellar, sprinkled with sand. In France, it is eaten thinly sliced or grated and poured onto a slice of bread with oil. Very popular in salads as a seasoning, thanks to its delicate spicy taste, milder than that of rounded winter varieties. Its juice is very effective for colds.
